Occupational Therapy (OT) focuses on improving the child’s ability to participate in daily life activities at home, school, and in the community. Common skills addressed includes fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, and upper body and core strengthening. OT works towards improving independence with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, self-feeding, and more. OT addresses feeding and swallowing, including difficulty with oral motor control and picky eating. OT can be provided to children of all ages, including infancy through adolescence.
